My nickname, Lady Oakmont…

…was lovingly given to me by my American friends—“Lady” because I’m British (though not posh!), and “Oakmont” after the charming old house I once lived in on Oakmont Road.

I grew up near Bristol, England, and my obsession for jewelry began at just eight years old while living in Hong Kong. It was at the vibrant night markets that I fell in love with a silver enamel bracelet—my first real treasure. I wore it until it practically wore me, and I still have it today. In fact, I’m designing an entire collection inspired by that very piece.

At 16, I landed my first job in a costume jewelry shop in Bath. We handmade everything we sold, and I was hooked. Life then took me to London for a career in advertising, where I met my husband. Eventually, we moved to Chicago, and now I live in the beautiful Northshore suburbs with—two kids, two dogs, and three cats.

Jewelry-making has been a longtime passion, and what started as a creative side hustle has grown into a full-fledged business. I’m endlessly (and, yes, obsessively) drawn to vintage markets, estate sales, and live auctions in search of unique and rare finds for my clients. People say I have a flair for combining old and new, creating pieces that are effortlessly cool—or as we’d say back home in Bristol, lush.
